Better Health Institute is a health education initiative for people living with chronic, complex, or unexplained symptoms—and the people supporting them.
Our starting point is useful, freely accessible education: research summaries, care preparation resources, and tools you can use yourself. We’re also developing a curated nationwide practitioner directory, with separate standards for licensed care and wellness services.

Good information helps you ask better questions.
The word “doctor” comes from the Latin word for teacher. That idea matters to us: people deserve explanations they can understand.
We translate evidence into plain language, show where it comes from, and make room for uncertainty. These resources help you prepare for a conversation with your clinician; they don’t replace one.

A more informed next step.
Start with your questions, your records, and a clearer understanding of the support you need.
Explore care resources →A directory built with care.
We’re developing a nationwide directory of licensed clinicians and separately identified wellness practitioners. No practitioner listings are available yet.
Before listings open, we need a qualified review process, documented credential checks, and a working route for reporting concerns. A listing will never be a promise of results.
