Accessibility

Access is part of the public benefit.

BHI aims to make its information and tools usable across devices and with assistive technology. This page states the current approach and the testing still required.

Current approach

The site uses semantic headings, labeled form controls, visible keyboard focus, descriptive link text, responsive layouts, text alternatives for meaningful images, and status announcements for interactive results.

Target

BHI’s working target is WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Automated checks support, but do not replace, keyboard, screen-reader, zoom, contrast, and user testing. Production QA remains a launch task.

Feedback

Accessibility reports will be accepted after the organizational mailbox opens. Include the page, task, browser or assistive technology, and the barrier encountered. Do not include medical information.

Known limitations

The current care finder and practitioner application are prototypes. The future directory has no verified records, and contact intake is inactive. BHI does not claim full conformance until testing is completed.
